Book 1---PROFESSIONAL BOXING IN THE 1980'S. A  LOOK BACK.

THE 1980'S WAS AN EXCITING DECADE AND A "GREAT" TIME FOR BOXING FANS. THERE WERE MANY "EXCELLENT" FIGHTS THAT LEFT BOXING FANS ON THE "EDGE"OF THEIR SEATS.  WHETHER IT WAS THE 1982 HEAVYWEIGHT SHOWDOWN  BETWEEN LARRY HOLMES "THE  EASTON ASSASSIN" AND  "GENTLEMEN" GERRY COONEY,OR IN 1980  "THE BRAWL IN MONTREAL" BETWEEN "SUGAR" RAY LEONARD AND ROBERTO DURAN "THE HANDS OF STONE,"  OR THE 1985 "CLASH"  BETWEEN "MARVELOUS" MARVIN HAGLER AND THOMAS "HITMAN" HEARNS, 1980'S BOXING HAD IT ALL. IT WAS ALSO A TIME WHEN BOXING WENT FROM FREE TELEVISION TO CABLE AND LONG BEFORE THE INTERNET FANS FOLLOWED BOXING NEWS THROUGH  MAGAZINES.  IT MAY HAVE BEEN AN ERA GONE BY BUT FOR FANS OF THE PUGILISTIC DRAMA IT WAS INDEED "ACTION PACKED."  A DECADE NOT ONLY GREAT FOR APPRECIATIVE  BOXING FANS LUCKY ENOUGH TO EXPERIENCE " FIRST HAND," BUT JUST AS GOOD TO LOOK BACK AND "REFLECT"ON. MY BOOK, PICTURED ABOVE OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF THIS EXCITING TIME FRAME IN BOXING AND IS A "MUST" READ FOR ALL BOXING FANS AS IT BRINGS 1980'S BOXING RIGHT BACK TO "LIFE."  THE BOOK HAS 138 PAGES WITH ILLUSTRATIONS AND PICTURES.

Book 2---Professional Boxing. An Inside Review of Major Bouts.

Major bouts in the sport of professonal boxing are its most viable commodity.  They offer an opportunity for fans and media to see show case action  not available in other sports.   Such bouts due to their popularity can not only make the cover of the "Sports Section" but can be the topic of disccussions for years to come. This book is a review of several major  bouts  that greatly influenced the fighters involved and the sport of boxing.  Some of the bouts covered are Muhammad Ali vs  Sonny Liston II; what really did happen at that bout, did Liston take a a dive? Andrew Golata vs Riddick Bowe I;  did this bout spell the end for Riddick Bowe? Tommy Morrison vs Ray Mercer; did Mercer score boxing's most brutal knockout ever in this bout?  Also covered are Roberto Duran vs Davey Moore,  Larry Holmes vs Gerry Cooney, Ike Ibeabuchi vs Chris Byrd, Mavin Hagler vs Thomas Hearns and more in this  book  which is excellent reading for any boxing fan from any era. The book has 44 pages.

BOOK 3-- PROFESSIONAL BOXING'S PALOOKAS, TOMATO CANS AND OPPONENTS. AN INSIDE LOOK.

This  books explores what it is like to be a palooka or tomato can in boxing.  It offers "rare" insight into what the careers of these fighters go through  from  how they bypass state commissions to how often they actually win a fight to what it is like to face a 'hostle'' crowd.  Some of the fighters covered in this book are North Carolina's Franke Hines; just how many fights did he have?  Bruce "The Mouse" Strauss, just how comical a note did his career start on? Read this book and  find out for sure and get quite a laugh.  Also, Nathaniel Fitch, in one of his bouts he stopped a rising prospect named Terry Davis in one 'brutal" round.  In addittion Ohio's mysterious  Jesse Clark's career is covered; did he ever win a pro bout, and how many top prospects did he face?  Also, the careers of Jordan Keepers  and other fighters  are covered in this "unique" and "informative" book which is great reading for any boxing fan.
